SMT Operator – 2nd Shift
Join a growing electronics manufacturing team in Duluth, GA! They are seeking an experienced SMT Operator with hands-on experience in PCB assembly and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, process improvement, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Shift of the SMT Operator:
3:00 PM to 11:30 PM Monday-Friday
Pay Rate of the SMT Operator:
$18-$24/hr
Responsibilities of the SMT Operator:
- Operate and help maintain Pick & Place equipment, Reflow Ovens, Screen Printers, and Solder Paste Inspection equipment.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on all SMT equipment.
- Perform setup/changeover procedures on equipment to be ready for the next job.
- Evaluate products for quality during manufacturing and take appropriate actions to resolve issues and improve the quality of existing products. Ensure the product is produced according to the developed procedures.
- Work with engineering on new product introductions, reporting any issues that negatively impact the SMT process.
- Worked efficiently and cooperatively in a team environment.
- Inspect circuit boards for defects, such as missing components or incomplete insertion.
- Recorded production information such as production levels, machine downtime, and defects.
- Perform necessary programming adjustments and troubleshooting on machinery and computers.
Requirements of the SMT Operator:
- Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
- Two-year SMT operator experience
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand, lift, bend, twist, reach, and follow instructions provided by the supervisor.
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Must be able to read/write and understand work instructions in English
- Ability to complete forms and track production
- Close attention to detail
