Machine Operator – 2nd Shift, Contract To Hire
A metal manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Machine Operator for a contract-to-hire position in Billerica, MA. This company is known for its organized and temperature-controlled facility, which specializes in CNC machining with a focus on stainless steel materials.
Shift of the Machine Operator:
2nd Shift: Mon-Thurs, 3:00pm-1:30am (optional Fridays when available)
Pay Rate/Salary of the Machine Operator:
$21-$28 per hour based on experience and interview
Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:
- Responsible for daily production of CNC machines by loading/unloading, part inspection, and troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Utilize basic measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
- Report quality concerns or machine errors to management.
- Maintain quality and safety standards.
Qualifications of the Machine Operator:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of Mill/Lathe experience required.
- Basic knowledge of machining skills.
- Ability to use various inspection tools such as verniers and micrometers.
- Must work well with minimal supervision and possess a strong work ethic.
