Mechanical Assembler – Immediate Opening
A growing manufacturer in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join its team. This hands-on role puts you right where the work gets done — building precision assemblies, fine-tuning mechanisms, and turning fabricated parts into products that meet exacting standards.
Shift of the Mechanical Assembler:
5am-1:30pm Monday-Friday
Pay Rate of the Mechanical Assembler:
$18.00 – $20.00 per hour
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Assembler:
- Assemble fabricated parts at floor stations according to product specifications.
- Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product requirements.
- Assemble mechanical components for front and rear panels, chassis, housings, cabinets, enclosures, and large mechanical assemblies.
- Assemble precision electro-mechanical equipment, fitting and aligning mechanical parts into housings for smooth operation.
- Install interconnect wiring and assemblies into enclosures when needed.
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and simple measuring devices.
- Follow well-defined assembly documentation that outlines the mechanical assembly process.
- Clean and maintain equipment daily.
- Follow all safety guidelines and meet scheduling requirements to complete tasks on time.
Qualifications of the Mechanical Assembler:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related experience in a sheet metal environment.
- At least 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to use standard tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and measuring equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk on concrete floors for extended periods.
