Electrical Assembler Team Leader- Contract to Hire
A growing industrial systems manufacturer is seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler Team Leader to guide a dedicated production line. This skilled, hands-on role blends advanced electrical assembly with strong leadership — building complex components while coaching a team to hit quality, safety, and efficiency goals every day.
Shift of the Electrical Assembler Team Leader:
Weekday hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Pay Rate of the Electrical Assembler Team Leader:
$25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Responsibilities of the Electrical Assembler Team Leader:
- Assemble and fabricate complex electrical components and wiring from schematics with minimal instruction.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, shop drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and system wiring issues.
- Monitor and inspect components for quality control.
- Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to a product line production team.
- Ensure production processes are completed accurately and on time.
- Monitor and adjust processes to maximize efficiency.
- Enforce all safety guidelines across the production team.
- Coach employees, review performance, and identify areas for improvement.
- Keep production records accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate with other team leaders to align production efforts.
- Step into a production manager role when needed.
Qualifications of the Electrical Assembler Team Leader:
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of wiring and electrical assembly experience with industrial, telecom, or IT systems.
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role.
- Expert knowledge of electrical schematics, shop drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong understanding of electronics and mechanical principles.
- Solid knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
- Proven experience developing and coaching production teams.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable, with a strong record of punctuality.
- Willingness to work first or second shift as needed, plus occasional evenings and weekends.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including crouching, stooping, and standing for long periods.
