Machinist – Contract to Hire

Shift of the Machinist:
2nd shift (M-F, 3:00 – 11:30 PM)
Pay Rate/Salary of the Machinist:
$24/hr + 10% differential
Responsibilities of the Machinist:
- Plan assignments, layout, set-up, and operate various conventional or automatic machines.
- Work from blueprints, process sheets, and sketches to cut and shape metal to precision dimensions.
- Inspect machining operations against specified tolerances.
- Identify and repair minor machine malfunctions.
- Set up and run the Omax water jet and manage inventory of raw materials.
Qualifications of the Machinist:
- 1+ year of related experience required.
- Machine shop experience with the ability to add and subtract decimals.
- Strong manual dexterity and coordination.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks in a manufacturing environment.
- Dedication to safety and ability to communicate effectively.
