The job market is tight right now, we’ve all heard it on the news and seen it with friends and family. The good news is that Natl Association of Colleges and Employers reports that employers plan to hire 26.6% more grads from the class of 2022 then 2021. Tougher news is that a recent Monster Emerging Workforce Survey reported that the average time to fill an entry level job has increased from 4 to 6 weeks since the beginning of the pandemic. This can cause stress for recent grads that are considering career opportunities.
One steppingstone into corporate America that isn’t as well known, is to work as a recruiter. A recruiter, hmm? No one goes to college to become a recruiter. But a job as a recruiter combines business and communication skills, customer service and marketing skills and provides the ability to learn about high profile companies. Helping people find new jobs and careers. It can be rewarding, both personally and financially.
A recruiter works with job seekers and hiring companies to find the right candidate for an open position. Recruiters interview candidates, learn about their skills and experience and talk to them about the types of jobs customers are looking to fill. You don’t have to jump through many hoops to become a recruiter. You don’t need to graduate with a particular degree. After picking up just a few basic concepts and skills, you can get in the door and start earning.
And this is why we‘ve built a robust, 4 week, in person, PAID training program for entry level recruiters!
Designed for people with no recruiting experience, DAVIS leaders teach you everything you need to know about recruiting, from sourcing candidates to landing clients to filling roles. As an DAVIS graduate, you’ll be a more productive recruiter in less time — which can translate easily to higher earnings, too.
Our experienced team has trained 100’s of successful recruiters in a fun, hands-on training program that includes a dog friendly office environment. There are activity goals and bonus incentives throughout the training program. Recruiters that successfully complete training, can specialize in recruiting for manufacturing, engineering and IT positions and skill sets.
Successful recruiters are self-motivated, willing to work hard, but like to have fun and understand what it’s like to be part of a team and work towards a common goal.
