Material Handler – Contract To Hire
Looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? A well-known company is seeking a reliable Material Handler to support production operations through inventory management, kitting, material distribution, shipping, and receiving activities in Hollis, NH.
Shift of the Material Handler:
7am – 3:30pm
Pay Rate of the Material Handler:
$18-19/Hr
Responsibilities of the Material Handler:
- Replenish, distribute, and deliver materials to production areas according to established schedules
- Pull and prepare materials for production kits based on work orders
- Retrieve finished goods and completed kits from manufacturing areas for inventory and shipment
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory transactions
- Identify and resolve material shortages for production and work-in-progress orders
- Support stockroom operations, including stock requisitions and inventory organization
- Perform cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventories
- Enter inventory, stockroom, shipping, and receiving data accurately into company systems
- Cross-train and assist with shipping and receiving responsibilities
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Customer Service teams to ensure inventory accuracy
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency efforts
Requirements of the Material Handler:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic computer and math skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
