Front Desk Administrator – Temp to Hire

An electronic component manufacturing company is seeking a highly organized and articulate Front Desk Admin to join their team. This is a contract to hire position in Newburyport, MA.

Responsibilities of the Front Desk Administrator:

  • Reception Duties:
    • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
    • Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls to the appropriate parties.
    • Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Manage conference room bookings and ensure meeting spaces are prepared.
    • Create and distribute badges for new hires and visitors.
    • Order and maintain office supplies inventory.
    • Assist in planning and organizing company events, including anniversaries and special celebrations.
    • Coordinate event catering and logistics as needed.
    • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
    • Provide general administrative support to other departments as required.

Qualifications of the Front Desk Administrator:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in Office Administration are a plus.
  • Proven experience in a front desk or administrative role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Comfortable in a highly visible position and able to present the company positively.
