Power Systems Engineer – $100K/yr

A modular energy solutions company is looking for a Power Systems Engineer to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity in Duluth, GA! 

Salary of the Power Systems Engineer:
$90-100K/yr

Responsibilities of the Power Systems Engineer:

  • Design, analyze, and optimize power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
  • Develop electrical system models and perform simulations to evaluate system performance.
  • Conduct load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculations.
  • Perform studies to assess system stability, reliability, and power quality.
  • Identify and propose solutions for system improvements and optimization.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate equipment and technologies for power system projects.
  • Prepare technical specifications and documentation for power system designs and projects.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during the construction and commissioning phases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve power system issues as they arise.
Requirements of the Power Systems Engineer:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in power system engineering or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of power system analysis, design, and operation.
  • Proficiency in power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, PowerFactory).
  • Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NERC, IEC).
  • Excellent understanding of electrical equipment, such as transformers, generators, and switchgear.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze technical data and drawings.
