CNC Machinist – Direct Hire 

A global manufacturer of customized solutions for the wire tooling trades is currently seeking for a CNC Machinist to join their team. This is a direct hire position in Worcester, MA. 

Shift of the CNC Machinist: 
M-F 7:00am – 3:30pm

Pay Rate of the CNC Machinist: 

Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist: 

  • Develop, prove, troubleshoot, and maintain CNC programs of multiple-axis lathes and mills using MasterCAM 3D and 2D programming software.
  • Analyze part drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts.
  • Selecting cutting tools, and machine speeds and feeds according to knowledge of machine shop processes.
  • Perform debugging and testing of CNC programs in the machining centers.
  • Prepare, store and maintain program files in the database system.
  • Write instruction sheets and tool lists to guide set-up and operation of the machining centers.
  • Operate machining centers as required to ensure performance, quality, and deliverability are achieved.
  • Other duties assigned. 

Requirements of the CNC Machinist: 

  • 5+ years of G&M code programming.
  • 5+ years of machine setup and operations using mills and lathes including multi-axis.
  • Experience with Okuma OSP, Fanuc, Yasnak, and Haas controls.
  • Proficient creating CNC code using MasterCAM or similar software.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering prints (including GD&T).
  • Ability to perform parts inspection.
