Global Category Sourcing Leader – Direct Hire

Responsibilities of the Global Category Sourcing Leader:

  • Ensures and maintains the quality guidelines, procedures, and standards are consistently followed throughout the manufacturing operation.

  • Performs/participates in on-site supplier audits to qualify or verify supplier capabilities, processes and quality systems.

  • Supports new product development and identifies supply base for evaluation.

  • Manages RFQ’s, competitive bids, and benchmarking to ensure competitive material cost.

  • Evaluate proposals through total cost of ownership to identify best value.

  • Negotiates formal supplier agreements with focus on value and risk mitigation.

  • Documents formal category strategy and drives actions to deliver value for  Industries.


  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or engineering

  • 7-10 years of supply chain experience; automotive industry preferred.

  • 3-5 years of supplier contract negotiation experience

  • LEAN principles, process improvement, waste reduction, 8D corrective action process as required.

  • Certifications in CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, CPCM preferred.
