Production Lead – 1st Shift
Manufacturer of engineering devices is looking to hire a Production Lead. This is a temp to hire opportunity in Attleboro, MA.
Responsibilities of the Production Lead:
- Set priorities and direct daily operations to include timely completion of jobs to supply the manufacturing lines.
- Ensure all operators are following safety procedures.
- Prioritize work activities for operators to achieve target on time delivery and delinquency goals.
- Be an active participant in 5S and continuous improvement activities.
- Complete transactions in Oracle daily.
- Maintain accurate inventory in each area.
- Review weekly reports for accuracy.
- Provide support to other functional groups.
- Daily communication with cross functional team such as customer service, engineering, technicians, quality and manufacturing supervisors as necessary.
- Ability to work on the line and support new operator training as required
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of the Production Lead:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
- Possess strong organizational skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work well as a team.
- Ability to lead, set an example, and direct teams to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, as well as, comprehend verbal instructions and effectively communicate both verbally and written.
- Computer familiarity, data entry skills including MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to perform various transactions in Oracle.
- Ability to self-start yet take orders as directed and achieve results.
- Consistent and punctual attendance required. Must be available to work assigned shifts and required overtime as needed.
- Must be eligible for ITAR clearance.
