Warehouse Associate – 1st shift

Leading building and constructions company is looking to hire a Warehouse Associate on 1st shift in Scarborough, ME. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity with a growing company in a fast-paced distribution center environment.

1st shift: 6am-3pm

Requirements of the Warehouse Associate:

  • Picking and Packing shipments
  • Preparing shipments for Trade Shows
  • Packing Hazardous Materials for Transportation
  • Receiving finished goods
  • Misc. duties assigned by supervisor

Qualifications of the Warehouse Associate:

  • Some Warehouse experience preferred
  • High School graduate, GED or equivalent
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment – Forklift, Stockpicker, Pallet Jack and Step Ladder
  • Basic math skills with emphasis on addition and subtraction
  • Familiar with warehouse safety procedures
  • Good communication skills including the ability to work in a team environment, and to follow and exchange verbal and written instructions
  • Administration skills including the ability to organize and record data neatly and accurately by paying close attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds assisted, 45 pounds unassisted
