  • The unhappy young person: That is you job seeker! You are currently searching for your dream job because you’re unhappy in your current job, just graduated from college and looking to start your new life as a working citizen or are trying to change careers. Either way, you are not content with your current employment situation and are looking for something more.
  • Conflict and Confrontation: This is the struggle you must go through in order to land your dream job. It may include a rude interviewer, lack of a support group, inability to land an interview or an evil stepmother, to name a few. Do not let this get you down! This is the time to grit your teeth a push through the tough times. Maybe you need to edit your resume to fit each job your applying to, maybe your LinkedIn page is looking a little bare and needs a makeover, or maybe you need to build a larger network by expanding your horizons and attending networking events near you. Whatever it is, this will take up the most time in your job search and it’s important you stay motivated! Giving up will not lead to your happily ever after, so do what you can to stay positive and push through!
  • Obstacle defeat: You did it! You got an interview with your dream company! However, this does not mean that your journey is over. You need to make sure you are prepared and ready to wow your potential employer with your wit, charm and experience in the related field. Make sure you are dressed appropriately, arrive early or on time, answer questions professionally and prove why you’d make a great addition to their team.
  • Happily Ever After: You’ve landed your dream job and could not be happier! Do a happy dance, go out for dinner and drinks with your friends or celebrate with a nap after that exhausting job search, you’ve earned it!
