Multiple Project Managers needed for contract to hire opportunity in Alpharetta, GA.
This is a dynamic position managing the installation of industry-leading Workforce Optimization and IP Telephony recording software. The Project Manager will plan, estimate and organize mid-level system integration efforts by providing daily direction, motivation and support to System Engineers and Trainers. Individual will provide pre-sales technical and integration support to sales and contract staff as well as plan for project contingencies and anticipate variations that may affect resources, successful implementation and revenue recognition. In addition, the project manager will adhere to established PMO practices and manage all technical processes related to the installation and successful project completion. Identifying and categorizing acceptable levels of risk and potential impact of risk factors is also required along with weekly status updates to project stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level project plans and project documentation to customers, project teams, and management as needed/required throughout the project life cycle
- Maintain ownership and enforce escalation process for installation issue resolution
- Identify changes in project scope, technology, customer environments, and product direction that could adversely affect the efforts of the project team or schedule
- Develop and manage the project lifecycle from sales handoff to support turnover and project closure
- Review all Pre Sales documents and alert Sales and Solutions to potential technical, logistical or business issues and liaison with internal departments to ensure all necessary needs and goals are being met
- Request and book resources through the Director of Implementation Services and maintain installation / project schedules
- Obtain approval and signoff of required project documentation including timelines, site acceptance testing, and completion of service
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
5 years of technical project management
5 years of customer relationship management
5 years of experience in Information Technology
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
Software specific working knowledge required of the following: Microsoft Windows XP and higher, MS Project, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Visio MCSE or experience with NORTEL, Avaya, Cisco, Aspect, Rockwell, or Lucent phone switches, ACD, PBX, a plus
Experience working with voice and data networks in the capacity of design, implementation or project management also desirable
