Fall is here and winter is coming. We can already feel the chill in the air in the northeast. Soon, we’ll be waking up before sunrise and getting home after sunset, making the days seem longer. That is why it is important to cultivate a healthy mind and body this time of year! Here are some tips to keep you in a healthy state as we wrap up 2017.
Exercise: Yes, this is a no brainer. Get yourself into a routine and try and dedicate 20-30 minutes of physical activity as many days of the week as you can.
Energy: Make sure you fuel your body! Don’t skip breakfast. Feed your body the right foods to get your day started right. A healthier diet will give you more energy and make you feel better overall.
Sharpen Your Mind: Spend some time thinking or doing an activity outside of your work/family life. Read new books, do Sudoku puzzles, or relearn your kid’s math homework so you can help them!
Make Connections: Creating and maintaining human bonds is important and helps to create a good balance in your life. Just because the weather isn’t as nice doesn’t mean you can’t still network and build new friendships both in and outside of work.
Passion: Have passion! If you don’t have it, find it. Find it in your work; find it in your personal life. Pursue that which truly makes you happy.
