Description

Reporting to the Global Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager, the Jr. Buyer coordinates procurement activities in support of global supply chain objectives. Working with global business units, the Jr. Buyer will perform a variety of purchasing tasks. This is a hands-on position in a fast-past startup environment and requires the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. This is an outstanding growth opportunity for an energetic, detailed oriented, multi-tasking, self-starter who is proficient in purchasing basics and system tools, learns quickly and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.



Requirements

•3 years of procurement experience in a high-tech environment.
•Associates degree in Business Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Experience with risk assessments, scorecards, and quarterly business reviews.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
•Strong PC skills to include MS office software suite. Advanced Excel user.
•Experience with Netsuite software.
•Communicates effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
•Knowledgeable in international shipping, import/export requirements a plus.

What you''do:

    • Responsible for the procurement of products and services per requirements.
    • Ensures Quality, Cost, and Delivery expectations are met for Direct and Indirect Materials.
    • Research and identify potential new sources of supply for multiple commodities.
    • Performs administrative functions pertaining to Supply Chain and Global Purchasing. Including, communication with suppliers, the issuance of purchase orders, expediting and supplier file maintenance.
    • Prepares RFQ’s, Technical Requirement Specifications, Design Packages and Drawings for submission to Suppliers.
    • Serves as backup for receiving department, distributes purchased items as necessary.
    • Interfaces with Finance to reconcile accounts payables.
    • Supports activities for company shipments

What you must have:
