Description
Maintenance Planner
Our Client in the Gainesville, GA area is looking for a Maintenance Planner. The Maintenance Planner will have good working knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment or mechanical and electrical equipment.
This is a direct hire position paying $24-$28 an hour based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Studies operation schedules and confers with other staff and with maintenance supervisors to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with operation.
- Confers with the plant engineer and maintenance supervision to review manufacturers' service manuals, Hydro usage schedules, and records of maintenance problems to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance.
- Determines and records work assignments according to worker availability, job classification, and priorities.
- Compiles and oversees in-plant distribution of work schedule.
- Adjusts schedules to meet emergencies caused by extended leave or increased production demands.
- Enters data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System and compiles and publishes maintenance reports. Issues work orders and tracks the completion thereof.
- Works with the plant engineer and maintenance supervision to maintain the activity board and other visual aids and controls within the department.
- Maintains all technical documentation logs, drawing files, and equipment history files.
- Works with the maintenance store clerk to ensure adequate materials are on hand for the completion of work orders.
- Estimates costs of personnel, parts, and supplies to be used during scheduled maintenance.
- Assists the plant engineer in developing and coordinating plans for reconstruction or installation new equipment, machinery, or buildings and capital projects.
- Issues work orders to maintenance and tracks their completion.
- Works safely and complies with all policies.
- Other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree (AA) or training from a technical school, or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and maintenance experience
- Good working knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment or mechanical and electrical equipment in general.
- Competent with CMMS (Maintenance software, and Microsoft applications, i.e. Access and Project.)
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms
- Ability to communicate effectively with fluency in English; Good verbal communications skills a plus
- Self-Starter; Ability to influence others; Adaptable to change; Ability to prioritize needs.
- Ability to read technical documentation/drawings
- Skilled in working with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Good working knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment or mechanical and electrical equipment in general.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms
