The DAVIS Companies is partnering with a global market leader in technologies and methods of mechanical and thermal process engineering. We are seeking a Lead Electrical Control Panel Technician to join their team. This is a 1st shift position with an organization that offers a very impressive benefits package. 

Responsibilities of Lead Electrical Control Panel Technician: 

  • Perform and supervise powered up electrical functionality testing on control panels by creating and loading test configurations to test I/O and hardware of control panels
  • Inspection of electrical control panels per schematic / BOM
  • Perform programming of VFD drives/loading of PLC programs Studio 5000 and Siemens S7
  • Rework / repair of faulty components / circuits
  • Perform Low and High Voltage wiring as needed
  • Identify opportunities for improvement based on inspection and test results
  • Support and drive Lean and 5S initiatives
  • Complete QC documentation and problem resolution logs
  • Read, understand and utilize various engineering and manufacturing documents including bills of materials, assembly drawings, assembly instructions, wiring schematics and diagrams

Qualifications Lead Electrical Control Panel Technician:

  • 2 years of electrical technical training (Associates or equivalent preferred)
  • 3+ years of electrical testing experience
  • 2+ years of experience working with electrical panels
  • Knowledge of electrical testing equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics / diagrams required
  • Excellent troubling shooting skills of complex electrical control panels
  • Knowledge of UL508A and UL698A for industrial control panels.
