Description

Field Service Technician
We are looking for a Field Service Tech in the Norcross, GA area. This position is responsible for service or repairs in mechanical and electrical equipment at the customer’s site and provides technical support via a Service Call Center.

Requirements:

  • Examining, testing, troubleshooting and repair of equipment in the field
  • Customer service will primarily be handled on the phone and email systems
  • Collecting timely and accurate data in the customer management system with a focus on resolution of the issue
  • Travel typically consisting of 50%, and including air, auto or similar means of transportation
  • Parts ordering for job site including quoting, write up, inspection and shipping as needed
  • Accurate and timely completion of service reports detailing field service trip description and results
  • Answering Emergency After hours calls on a monthly, rotating basis

Qualifications:

  • Technical background including education and/or experience equivalent to 2 year degree in electrical engineering
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Moderate computer skills including familiarity with MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Access
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Utilization of good phone etiquette when relating to customers
  • Utilization of hand tools and test equipment
