We are currently looking for a CNC Programmer/Machinist for our client's in the North Atlanta, GA area.

This is 1st shift, DIRECT HIRE opportunity.


  • Program, set-up, and operate CNC Swiss Screw Machines, as well as the attached bar feeder. Including the loading of the program, checking and positioning of fixtures and cutting tools, and offset programming adjustments
  • Ability to read blueprints with good GD & T knowledge
  • Understanding of the tooling required for CNC processes
  • Strong understanding of inspection and gauging techniques using measuring devices such as plug and ring gauges, calipers, optical comparator and micrometers
  • Mechanical aptitude to perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on Star Swiss Screw Machines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in the medical device industry with FDA regulations and ISO 13485 requirements
  • Ability to communicate with external vendors to identify material availability, potential technical support with equipment and selection of appropriate tooling hardware


  • Minimum of 5 years experience on Swiss Style CNC lathes (Star preferred, Citzen)
  • High school diploma or GED, required; Technical Associate Degree, preferred
  • Ability to read/hear, interpret and understand instructions given verbally or written in English
  • Perform in a fast-paced environment while complying with Quality System SOP’s, work instructions, drawings, GMP, GDP, ISO and FDA requirements
  • Experience in manufacturing practices or quality inspection work
  • Exposure to using work instructions, reading drawings and using GMP, GDP, ISO and FDA requirements
  • Medical device or FDA regulated industry experience preferred
  • Good hand to eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Familiar with basic computer operations and operating systems


  • Using Star Swiss screw machines. Also a plus if they have used a Chiron mill turn machine 
  • Programs run are MasterCam GibsCam
  • Be able to reset Screw machines and make adjustments or edits to program 
  • Hours a flexible but have a start time now at 6am due to COVID
