Description

Product Development Engineer / Medical Device Engineer - Direct Hire

Watertown, MA

This new hire will be an integral part of a small product development team on a very exciting and disruptive technology for wound care. This product encompasses hardware, software, electronics and delivery by plastic injection molded parts. This motivated and experienced Engineer will be responsible for prototyping and product re-design, design for manufacturing and transfer to manufacturing / NPI, as well as incorporating automation and robotics into production for scale-up. This team is poised to grow and this role will be a challenging and rewarding one, with the backing of an international medical device company.

Required Experience:

BS Degree or higher with 3+ years of experience in the medical device space

Experience in full cycle product development from prototype to scaled manufacture

Proficiency with Solidworks

Experience with validation and verification (V&V)

Proficiency in tooling and fixture design

Experience working in manufacturing automation from set-up to programming would be a major plus.
