Description

Process Engineer
Our client is searching for a motivated, results-driven Process Engineer to assist with planning and implementation of shop floor processes and assist with development and implementation of lean manufacturing methods.

 

Salary Range: $65-75K/year

 

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain production documentation
  • Determine technical processes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiative in regards to efficiencies of the manufacturing process for each product
  • Determine technical resources (tools, equipment, infrastructure) needed to accomplish manufacturing goals
  • Research, determine, and implement plant floor layout, material flow, and operational methods
  • Perform time studies to determine optimum processes
  • Research, develop & test tooling and fixtures for shop floor processes
  • Lead and implement process improvements
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Mechanical / Manufacturing engineering education 
  • Experience in a manufacturing (welding preferred) environment
  • Experience with Solidworks or similar CAD systems desired
  • Experience with industrial equipment and components, industrial equipment assembly and testing, industrial component machining operations
  • Experience in manufacturing environments, including use of MRP Systems and lean manufacturing concepts and methods
  • Must be proficient in Excel
  • Experience in automotive or metal related manufacturing is a plus
  • Experience negotiating and dealing with vendors to source tooling and related is a plus
