Description

Manufacturing Engineer
We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in the Northeast Atlanta area. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and improving of automation systems, which include PLC, servos, robotics, vision systems, laser technology, ultrasonic welding, resistance welding, pneumatics, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to production teams for technical issues that arise
  • Troubleshoot and repair automation equipment and processes
  • Identify trends in quality performance, executes root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans
  • Initiate process improvement projects using data-driven and statistically designed experiments to enhance quality, reduce cost, enhance safety, and increase earnings
  • Develop and implement technical changes as needed
  • Create and maintain all documents used to control the manufacturing process
  • Assists quality department do verify process parameters and monitor functionality of quality related devices
  • Supports in FMEA, APQP and Control Plan creation and review process
  • Participates in 8D problem-solving activities (internal/external)
  • Ensures 100% conformance to the Quality System in production operations
  • Ensures a safe and clean working environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge in manufacturing and automation
  • 2-5 years relevant work experience preferred
  • Technical writing skills
  • Language skills: ability to communicate in English
  • Ability to work in metric system
  • Good statistical knowledge
  • Very good computer aptitude
  • Robot programming skills are a plus
  • CAD experience preferred
  • Experience with reading/following wiring schematics
