Sr. Industrial Design / Usability Engineer

Job responsibilities:

  • Well versed in broader concepts like human centered design thinking, to drive innovation at the intersection of user needs, technology and the operating environment.
  • Use significant expertise in design thinking, human factors and usability engineering to design products and solutions used by patients in the area of cancer treatment.
  • Develop user requirements through interviews and focus group techniques, as necessary
  • Ability to analyze data both qualitatively and quantitatively, prepare detailed reports and presentations to support final design proposal.
  • Ability to influence the organization through thoughtful ideas and presentations that balance feasibility and desirability whilst maintaining patient safety and performance.
  • Select and manage a small network of carefully chosen external partners.
  • Be the subject matter expert in Human Factors engineering and be seen as such.


  • Bachelors in Industrial design or relevant discipline.
  • 10-12 years’ experience with significant experience as an individual contributor and influencer in design thinking and human factors engineering.
  • Experience with a diversity of solutions, for e.g., different device assembly approaches, device wearing options, UI concepts.
  • Experience in multiple industries including consumer health and high volume products is a plus.
  • Experience with a diversity of product genres including packaging is highly desired.
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills.
  • Develop and sell the big picture to the organization including a thoughtful plan to execute.
  • Work successfully with teams in different time zones and cultures.




  • Up to 25% (International), travel may be required when it is safe to do so.
  • Able to lift up to 25lbs.
