Continuous Improvement Leader
We are partnering with a large manufacturing organization in Newnan, Ga who is looking to add a Continuous Improvement Leader to their distribution and logistics team. This role will identify, develop and lead all continuous improvement activities for the logistics division.  Lead improvements that will contribute to reducing costs and improving performance for the assembly operation. 


  • Drive a team of 4-6 associates to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.
  • Observe different areas within DC's to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Identify, be tasked with and drive all distribution center projects that will drive improvements.
  • Develop project plans and timelines.
  • Calculate ROI for projects to ensure time is not wasted on non-value-added activities.
  • Coordinate any needed technology for project improvements.
  • Coordinate any process changes needed for project improvements.
  • Coordinate any IT changes needed for project improvements.
  • Where needed, execute time studies and other data analysis.
  • Work directly with 3rd party vendors where necessary.
  • Assign projects based on team members strength's/weaknesses.
  • Assist team in developing action plans/items with firm dates of completion.
  • Assist team in calculating savings for their projects.
  • Determine projects that will or will not be tackled based on distribution center needs.
  • Identify waste within the CI Tech's day and eliminate by implementing a more structured regiment.
  • Generate update reports from the CI Tech team to keep DM and UM abreast of all projects and pertinent updates.
  • Identify projects that are being worked by CI that are non-value added.
  • Partner with maintenance group to ensure CI Techs aren't executing maintenance related functions when they should be driving towards their next project.
  • Assign projects based on team members strength's/weaknesses.     


  • 4-year degree in logistics or engineering and 8+ years’ experience in manufacturing and/or logistics.
  • Experience in managing direct report employees, excellent cross-functional leadership skills, strong executive level presentation skills.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training 
  • Background in Continuous Improvement 
  • Project Management (ability to juggle multiple projects at one time)
