Description

Our client located in Lexington, Ma is looking for a person who has a strong background with Order Management and Customer Service. This role is a Direct Hire at a Life Sciences Company. 

Position Overview:

In this position, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to further develop and manage all aspects of the order management process for instrument hardware, consumables and services.  This position influences the complete order to cash cycle, including, but not limited to, processing sales orders and corresponding documentation, maintaining and scaling ERP functionality, working closely with commercial, finance and manufacturing functions and ensuring adherence to Corporate policies and procedures.  Specific responsibilities include:

 

  • Manage Order Management staff domestically and internationally, as operations expand into Europe and Asia
  • Satisfy all customer requests and support sales staff promptly and professionally via telephone, email, web, and fax
  • Process all customer orders; review order details and proactively manage the customers experience using Infor Cloud Suite Industrial (SyteLine) ERP functionality 
  • Interact extensively with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to coordinate and communicate with customers any adjustments to shipments
  • Monitor open orders until order is fulfilled; Send written order confirmation to customer including expected date of delivery; Expedite orders when appropriate; Reconfirm delivery if "promise date" changes
  • Learn and apply all the requisite financial rules for revenue recognitions, discounting, payment terms and conditions, etc.
  • Coordinate with the sales and service organizations for warranty tracking and billable service activities, assist Sales in achieving sales target through various tasks as needed
  • Develop product line knowledge to enable real time customer assistance for basic product support.  Attend periodic training sessions and coordinate with technical staff to maintain latest information and technology
  • Develop necessary Standard Operating Procedures for the order management process
  • Participate in process and system improvements, such as development of WEB store functionality; Manage order fulfillment metrics 
  • Maintain Customer file and Product file

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years order management experience required; specifically developing and implementing order management policies and procedures
  • Previous experience with ERP/CRM applications required (sales force.com experience a plus)
  • High level of Computer Literacy required: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, Email, and Internet related programs
  • Previous experience in the Life industry preferred
  • Accounting or Finance background is preferred
  • Previous experience in reporting tools, booking, revenue tracking and forecasting will be an asset
  • Must be comfortable working within a dynamic, changing environment, wearing multiple hats when necessary
  • Education: Associates or Bachelor’s degree
