Description

 

The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for handling the day to day assigned warehouse functions. This position is responsible for timely and accurate distribution of inbound and outbound freight, special projects and communications with other departments as defined by the Warehouse Manager.

Qualifications Required:

  • At least three years of related work experience
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be forklift certified and knowledge of forklift/material handling
  • Able to operate basic hand and small electric tools
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently
  • Must be detail oriented, have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Must be punctual and dependable with regular attendance
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week with some overtime required

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Receives, unloads, stores and processes incoming shipments manually or by using handcarts, forklifts or other non-mechanized conveyances Receiving, storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or from vendors
  • Maintenance of all equipment and the physical upkeep of the warehouse
  • Maintain a work-space/warehouse that is free of debris at all times and adheres to safety guidelines
  • Storing, stacking and palatalizing materials in accordance with the storage plan
  • Operating hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties
  • Heavy lifting (50 lbs.)
  • Supports the Operations department needs, functions, and organizational infrastructure
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
