Description

Our premiere customer is looking for an Employee Communication Manager.  This position will be a 4 to 6 month contract based in Lowell, MA.  In the role of Manager of Employee Communications, you will develop and execute strategies and tactics to foster effective communication among 5,000+ employees worldwide.  This role will report to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute employee communications plans and timelines
  • Strategize about overall employee communications program, measurement, and vision
  • Manage team members to accomplish their employee communication goals – including employee events
  • Work cross functionally and with writers, graphic designers, and external vendors to develop high-quality, high-impact materials that inform, educate, and engage employees and illustrate our WorkInspired culture
  • Act as an employee brand evangelist, working in collaboration with various stakeholders to weave our WorkInspired culture into all aspects of communications
  • Develop content about our WorkInspired culture for multiple internal communication vehicles 
  • Publicize our WorkInspired culture through pursuit of employer of choice awards globally
  • Orchestrate employee meetings such as town hall meetings, webcasts, and company celebrations
  • Edit employee communications for internal teams such as human resources, IT, and corporate services, including emails, intranet, blogs, newsletters, and Chatter
  • Assist Corporate Communications leader on executive communications
  • Participate in various committees such as GiveInspired, our community relations program; Corporate Social Responsibility, etc.
  • Oversee employee events such as “Take Your Child to Work Day”, “Summer Games: Battle of the Interns”, and wellness campaigns
  • Conduct corporate communications audits and provide counsel to internal contacts regarding effective communications of company initiatives 
  • Consults with various departments and regions regarding employee communications
  • Oversee efforts related to employee review sites such as Glassdoor

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and attention to detail
  • Highly personable and able to work well across teams and cultures
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism/communications field required plus 8 years of related work experience
  • Tech savvy and experienced using social collaboration, video editing, live streaming, blog tools and platforms
