Description

Our client is looking for a Sr Technician to join them in Manchester, NH on a contract basis. This is a first shift opportunity! 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in the operation of machines and equipment necessary to produce and/or evaluate prototypes, trains others to use them and assist with integration of new equipment.
  • Compile data to generate test results and/or reports; recognize unusual results and /or conditions during evaluations as they occur
  • Familiar with most of the Velcro® Brand products produced commercially.  Basic understanding of company's core technologies.
  • Interaction with external customers to demonstrate product or process, limited
  • Develop functional prototypes of new designs for evaluation and demonstration to both internal and external customers
  • Work both independently and in cross functional teams to advance product development projects
  • Work with planning, manufacturing and engineering to plan, execute and document product trials.
  • Moderate external supplier interaction, work with material suppliers, converters and machine shops as required to advance product development projects
  • Understands design documentation and familiar with the design development process
  • Familiar with statistical analysis tools such as T-tests, Pareto charts and histograms to aid in statistical fact based problem solving
  • Ability to research common industry practices/standards to accomplish project objectives
  • Assist in design and development of new fastening products that meet application requirements
  • Read and interpret product design and/or manufacturing drawings
  • Aware of IP process, consults/informs with IP on potential patentable products/ideas, occasional participation in brainstorming meetings
  • Limited management of multiple projects using the applicable process
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and directed by the management

Qualifications: 

  • Associates degree or 5+ years relevant experience
  • Occasional travel may be required
