Our client in Norwood is seeking a highly motivated and self-sufficient candidate to join their Manufacturing team.  The Manufacturing Lab Technician is responsible for the production of various Western Blot components; which includes preparation of buffers, reagents and performing Electrophoresis.  This is a position which requires attention to detail, flexibility and the ability to collaborate with laboratory staff members at the Norwood facility.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture buffers, gels, and antigen, while exercising aseptic techniques and line clearances when necessary.
  • Perform electrophoresis, producing quality strips to be used in our Western Blot assay.
  • Ability to follow scientific SOP’s and understand document control and cGMP or GLP.
  • Update spreadsheets, inventory, and documents; requiring experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Windows environment.
  • Ability to listen and follow directions well.
  • Organize daily workload schedule with minimal supervision to meet company’s production schedule.



  • One year of lab setting work experience preferred.
  • B.A./B.S. in a biological field preferred.  AS in a biological field accepted. 
  • Basic biological laboratory skills necessary; including the use of micropipettors, balances, pH meters, etc. and aseptic technique.
  • Ability to interact positively and effectively with other departments within the organization (ex: R&D, QA).
  • Ability to complete Manufacturing documentation. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Impeccable adherence to the quality system.
