Description

We are currently hiring for a 1st shift Panel Wire Technician to join our advanced Medical Device manufacturing facility!

Job Description: Assembly of Electrical Control Panels and some wire harnesses from prints. This position is responsible for the physical assembly, wiring and testing of control panels for industrial equipment. The Technician will fabricate controls to print, including layout and physical mounting of components, wiring of all components, and testing to ensure proper operation.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for wiring and building industrial control panels based on schematic, blueprint, and/or wire schedule.
  • Performing point to point wiring, having knowledge of standard wiring procedures which includes proper wire routing, stripping, crimping of lugs, torque terminal blocks per specification and proper wire termination.
  • Diagnosing, isolating, and correcting electrical problems.
  • Utilizing appropriate test instruments and equipment to test and insure compatibility and safety of all circuits and components.
  • Wire and label electrical sub panels and enclosures per blueprint.
  • Mount and interconnect components to equipment per blueprint.

Qualifications:

  • Understands electrical components and is able to read and interpret basic electrical engineering parts competent in the safe use of hand tools and power tools used for panel build including wire cutters, strippers and crimpers, screw drivers, drills and taps.
  • Experience with basic electrical assembly.  Including point to point wiring, hand soldering, crimping and cable assembly.
  • Knowledge of wiring PLC's, VFDs, pump motors, relays, and solenoids.
  • Have good organization skills and ability to start and stop multiple tasks.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow directions.
  • Experience with MS Visio, Solidworks Mechanical and/or Electrical a plus.
