Description

Our premier client is searching for a Project Planner to join their team on a long term contract basis. 

Overview:

 We are looking for an experienced Project Planner to aid in the running of a large, system program. This person will be an essential part of a critical team - working directly with the Program Director to create and maintain a program schedule for a highly complex and priority program. Opportunities for additional responsibilities within the project are likely (facilitating meetings, managing meeting minutes and reports, supporting report-outs to management).

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Program Director to create and maintain complex program schedules. This includes taking multi-level schedules and rolling them up into one master schedule.

  • Work independently to collect relevant data from multiple sources and people.

  • Strong collaborator skilled at working across functions and teams to help bring them together

  • May also be asked to run meetings independently and/or act as scribe in core program team meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a college degree or high-school with formal Project Planning / Management training or certificate

  • 5+ years experience planning for complex projects, prefer product development or R&D programs.

  • Waterfall and Agile experience preferred

  • Experience in SmartSheet (creating schedules, reports and dashboards), Confluence, Teams preferred. Other software experience includes SAP, MS Project, Excel, Word and Power Point

  • Additional project skills a plus: Decision matrices, project spend tracking, project risk tracking
