Description

Our client located in Maynard, MA is looking for a Production Tech to join their team on a contract to hire basis. 

Production technician is required to support production of electronic systems and devices. This will involve assembly and testing of hardware and electronic components and assemblies, management and awareness of production schedules, conducting inspection tests on incoming material, and maintaining documentation associated with both assembly and testing. This individual will work with engineering resources in assembling and testing systems in production. As part of a small company the person will be expected to assist in a broad range of tasks, including:

  • Assemble and test devices for production delivery
  • Set up and use complex electronic test devices, reliably and repeatedly execute sensitive tests; detect and document subtle variances in results, and escalate as appropriate.
  • Maintain assembly and test logs and material traceability documentation
  • Create and maintain test and assembly procedures, methods, and documentation
  • Validate test and assembly processes, identifying, and implementing process improvement opportunities.
  • Define and validate production and test fixtures to support production 
  • Work as part of a world leading team of experts to define, hone, and troubleshoot the production process.Support field service and warranty production requirements.

Requirements

  • Technical certification, Associates degree, or Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
  • Able to work as part of a team completing complex time critical tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Willing/able to work odd hours as necessary
  • US Citizenship required

Skills

  • Electronic assembly or related production experience is a plus
  • Experience in QA procedures, document review, and interfacing with both engineering and manufacturing personnel
