Description

DAVIS Companies has partnered with a leader in custom electrical testing. As an Electronic Technician you will assemble and test probe cards, cable harnesses and other test equipment.  This is a great opportunity with an outstanding company.

Requirements:

  • Interpret prints, drawings and sketches
  • Set up and perform hand and automatic assembly operations on ultra high performance probe cards
  • Under microscope, expertly bend and measure needles for probe cards into correct alignment position.
  • Manipulate probes into ceramic seat.
  • Assemble populated ceramic onto chassis or PCB.
  • Route or terminate needles with solder or crimp.
  • Manufacture custom cables for specific applications based upon customer design and print requirements
  • Prep wire – Crimp or solder wires into a variety of connections.
  • Perform quality checks by testing electrically and with drawing specifications.
  • Work closely with engineering to revise designs and improve prototypes.
  •  Assemble precision mechanical sub and final assemblies. 

Experience Required:

  • Assembly experience (mechanical and cable assembly experience desired)
  • Ability to work with very small parts and manipulate using a microscope
  • Knowledge and experience with soldering including printed circuit board soldering
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Clean Room experienced helpful
